A Year of Biblical Womanhood, a book by Rachel Held Evans

I‘ve never actually organized my summer reading before.
This year it seemed like a good idea. This is my list so far, roughly in order of preference. What do you think? Do you have others you’d suggest I read? Should I re-order? Let me know! (my summer technically hasn’t started yet so there’s time to edit the list)

  1. A Year of Biblical Womanhood by Rachel Held Evans: typical American woman spends a year living the hardcore Biblical woman lifestyle (or at least covers her head like on the cover). At first blush, looks like the female equivalent of AJ Jacobs’s The Year of Living Biblically. So more challenging, I’d think (and AJ’s year didn’t sound easy at all).

  2. Fascinate by Sally Hogshead. She has a fun self-quiz on her website on how we best fascinate. One of my top two is Mystique. I’d tell you more, but one of my top ways to fascinate is Mystique. Also, clearly I haven’t read her book yet.
  3. Enchantment by Guy Kawasaki. Guy was a top Apple exec. Now he does other stuff but he’s still all over the Internet (in a good way). Dana’s already on high alert that Guy’s my new speaker crush, especially since he replied to one of my Google+ Comments.

  4. The Longer Long Tail by Chris Anderson. I haven’t read the original long tail so I hope this still makes sense. People keep mentioning the term and it’s high time I figured out what they’re talking about.

  5. The Bible. If there’s room… 😉

So now what do we have to say for ourselves?…
